How do you repair things on harry potter half blood prince game for wii?

I am at the point were I am locked in the tower and I like broke the key.

I don’t have the game yet, once I have enough money I’m buying it straight away but I’ve watched a bunch of stuff on youtube and you just have to make a circle with the remote either clockwise or counter clockwise I’m not sure which one. I think it’s counter clockwise. But yeah just make a circle and that should do it
